The New Revolution

With the advancement in the field of technology, Microsoft is now eager to give the PC buyers a ‘wow factor’ by introducing the all new windows 7. In this new version of windows Microsoft has tried its level best to overcome the defects of windows vista. Windows 7 is basically vista reheated, the basic architecture (i.e., the engine of the software) is the same for both the versions. There are some new features that Microsoft has introduced in windows 7, some of the key features are given below:

* The most advanced among all the features of windows 7 is the introduction of Touch User Interface (TUI) technology, this facilitates the use of PC’s such as HP’s touch smart in which hand can be use to do all the operations for which mouse is used in any common GUI (Graphical User Interface) based operating system.

This new operating with the new Touch User Interface (TUI) technology is surely going to give a new revolution in the field of touch screen monitors.

* Another key feature of windows 7 is the use of aero-snaps technology which makes it much handy.This feature is mainly used by the user for the comparison of two documents and moving contents between them.
It works in this way: drag a window towards one side and it will cover that half of the screen and then drag another window towards another side and it will cover another half of the screen and then the two documents can be easily compared. By moving the cursor towards the right end of the taskbar all the open window and documents can be made invisible for viewing the desktop.

* The new windows 7 is powered by a new and modified taskbar in which all the shortcuts and applications can be launched from the main taskbar area, the taskbar also has a jump-list feature using which a pop-up menu is customized for each application, for example, a song that is playing in window media player can be directly start or stopped from the taskbar without opening the application window.
This jump-list feature has made the new operating system more user-friendly and easy to operate.


* The device stage feature of windows 7 makes it easy for a user to gather information about any external device attached, such as phone, camera, printer etc.

It require the third party manufactures to made a separate dialogue-box for users using windows 7, it is up-to the manufactures that are they interested to make a separate dialogue for windows 7 users or not. When an external device is attached the dialogue will appear showing all the relevant actions. Using this feature the user can easily do work like copying pictures, songs etc.

* Windows 7 also provide a feature of organizing explorer with libraries, using this feature a particular folder can be made as a default location for similar type of files, for example, if four MP3 files are saved at four different locations of the disk drive or different disk drives, they all can be viewed at a same folder by setting that folder as the default location for MP3 files.

This feature has again made windows 7 more user-friendly.






Windows 7 can be concluded as the rebirth of windows vista, both having the same sprits. The requirements for both the versions are same, but the success of windows 7 with so much new features seems to be obvious.
